PILT proposal would help small counties

Counties with federal land and small populations may receive larger Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) payments in a bill working its way through Congress.

New communities to receive help in 2020

CPAW will expand work on land use planning to communities in California, Oregon, Colorado, Florida, and Montana to reduce risk from wildfires.
