Headwaters Economics is an independent, nonprofit research group that works to improve community development and land management decisions. We inform community decision-making and identify practical solutions by making complex data understandable, beautiful, and interactive, helping develop solutions to some of the most urgent and important issues that communities face.
All materials on our site, including but not limited to reports, articles, studies, artwork, software, photographs, interactives, graphics, audio clips, video clips, text and trademarks (collectively “Materials”), are the sole property of Headwaters Economics. The exclusive rights to all Materials on this site are protected by U.S. and international laws of copyright, trademark and unfair competition. Headwaters Economics occasionally will update its Materials as events warrant.
It is in keeping with the mission of Headwaters Economics to encourage public discourse. Headwaters Economics makes data tools and software available to the public free of charge, including the Economic Profile System and Neighborhoods at Risk. The data tools use published statistics from a variety of sources from United States government agencies that are available to the public and cover the entire United Sates. Headwaters Economics is not responsible for the accuracy of the information that was obtained from these government sources. Documentation with each data tool provides more technical specifications about data sources.
Headwaters Economics’ data tools may not be sold or otherwise transferred for value. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble data tools, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.
Headwaters Economics’ data tools are provided “AS IS.” In no event shall Headwaters Economics be responsible for loss or damages arising from the installation or use of data tools, including but not limited to any indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages of any kind.
