This report came about as a result of local interests–including businesses, the City of Carey, landowners, and several non-profits — asking Headwaters Economics to provide economic analysis and business development expertise about the regional impact of the recession and strategies to rebuild the local economy in the Carey, Idaho area.

The study, Ideas for Economic Recovery in Carey, Idaho, summarizes interviews with local government and business leaders on obstacles to and opportunities for local economic recovery in Carey, Idaho from the latest recession.
