Economic Profile System

Download socioeconomic reports of communities, counties, & states, including aggregations and comparisons. The Economic Profile System (EPS) uses federal data sources, including the Bureaus of Economic Analysis, Census, & others. EPS is also known as the Human Dimensions Toolkit by the Forest Service.

EPS Print Instructions

For EPS reports in Word or PDF file formats, there are no special print instructions.

For EPS reports in Excel file format, you can use predefined print ranges to print EPS reports with or without the study guide. Detailed instructions and images are provided for Excel 2010. Follow the same general steps for other versions of Excel, including 2007, 2011 for Mac, and 2013.

Printing Excel EPS reports with the study guide pages:

  1. Click the “File” tab.
  2. Then click the “Print” menu item.
  3. Then change the top setting under “Settings” from “Print Active Sheet” to “Print Entire Workbook”.

  5. Lastly, click the “Print” button.

Printing Excel EPS reports without the study guide pages:

To print an EPS report without the study guide pages, you will use a predefined custom view that excludes the study guide from the print ranges.

  1. Click the “View” tab.
  2. Then in the “Workbook Views” group (usually top left), click “Custom Views”.
  3. Then select the “Analysis Pages Only” custom view, and click “Show”. This custom view excludes the study guide from the print ranges.

  5. Now, click the “File” tab.
  6. Then click the “Print” menu item.
  7. Then change the top setting under “Settings” from “Print Active Sheet” to “Print Entire Workbook”.
  8. Lastly, click the “Print” button.
