Public Lands Ranching in Southern Utah

October 2011

This report, The Agricultural Economy and Public Lands Ranching Strategies in Southern Utah, provides decision-makers and stakeholders involved with public lands management a broad overview of the role of agriculture in the regional economy of southern Utah.  The report then identifies some of the specific economic issues facing livestock producers who hold permits to graze on national forest lands in the area.

As part of Headwaters Economics work with the United States Forest Service and local stakeholders, we also prepared a number of profiles of the agricultural economy of the region.
