Gundars Rudzitis, PhD, University of Chicago, is Professor Emeritus, Department of Geography, University of Idaho where he was also a Professor in Environmental Science and the Department of Philosophy. Gundars has also taught at Boston University and the University of Texas at Austin and has been a Visiting Professor at Clark University, Harvard University, University of New Mexico, University of Waikato in New Zealand, and a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Latvia. Gundars lives on the Olympic Peninsula where he hikes year-round exploring wilderness and other public lands.
