DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY: 
Public Land Survey Section boundaries were downloaded from http://www.geocommunicator.gov/GeoComm/lsis_home/home/index.htm.  Headwaters Economics collected the location and year-built for single-family homes.  The Montana Department of Revenue and tax assessors provided home locations described in the Public Land Survey Section System.  Total home counts for the latest complete year available (2013) were summarized by section and joined to the GIS layer of Public Land Survey Section boundaries.
