The data shown in this map was originally created by Cara Meinke of the USGS-FRESC Snake River Field Station. Meinke collected maps from individual states and provinces. Most maps contain detailed information on specific sagebrush types. However the maps for Canada are coarse-scale and classified vegetation as only "shrub."
